Project Description
Camosy Construction was selected as Construction Manager as Agent for this project in December 2009. The work includes a 38,000 SF addition to the existing Civic Center that will serve as the new Police Station, and renovations to the existing Civic Center to repurpose former Police areas and modernize the remainder of the building. Camosy services included all phases of work from Pre-Construction and Construction through the completion of the two-year warranty period. The project’s biggest challenge was keeping the Civic Center and other municipal buildings on campus fully operational during construction on a tight site. To ensure this occurred, Camosy included a Phasing Plan in the bid documents. The project was completed in Winter 2012, with Camosy’s contract having been expanded during construction to include an additional $800,000 of renovation work to the existing Civic Center.
