Quality Work
For Over 100 Years

Your project won’t be just another job in our office; it will be a key part of building the history and legacy of Camosy that started in 1910 and continues to this day.

Organized in 1910 by Carpenter/Surveyor Dominic Camosy, Camosy prospered for the next forty years as a design-builder of homes and commercial facilities. In the 1950s the company expanded its territory and its market expertise to include: governmental, educational, ecclesiastical, health care, and industrial sector work, in addition to commercial and residential buildings in southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois.

Continuing a Legacy

During the 1960s the corporation reorganized into a departmentalized form, being among the first construction companies in the area to utilize full-time, college-educated Project Managers and full-time Estimators/Purchasing Agents to more professionally manage the entire construction process. During this time, the firm became an area leader in the use of Electronic Data Processing, with computerized unit costs being used in both the estimating and operations functions by means of an inhouse, general purpose, mainframe computer.

From 1976 to 1993 the Camosy firm continued to grow, being named nine times by Engineering News Record Magazine (ENR) as one of the “TOP 400” CONTRACTORS in the nation and winning many other industry awards and honors.

As construction delivery methods evolved in the 1980s, Camosy began providing Construction Management Services to our clients including public sector clients who saw the advantages of the CM delivery approach.

By 1986, the company recognized that significant overhead cost savings and other benefits would be realized by combining its Illinois construction operations, its Wisconsin construction operations, and its construction management operations into one single entity.

Today, Camosy Construction is a full-service, construction management, general contracting, and design-build firm. Our primary market sector is now providing Construction Management services to Public Sector clients, accounting for 65% to 75% of our work volume on an annual basis. Our Public Sector clients include Counties, Cities, Villages, School Districts, Park Districts, Fire Protection Districts, and Library Districts making Camosy extremely familiar with and well versed in providing Construction Management in compliance with local and state public procurement requirements.

As a mid-size, family-owned, third-generation constriction firm that has been in business for more than 110 years, we have worked hard to become a lean, efficient service provider that is able to provide the best value to our clients. We maintain a yearly volume that allows us to provide the sort of personal service from senior staff that is not often seen in the construction industry today.
