Powerful Leadership Training: Camosy Launches the AGC Supervisory Training Program
AGC Supervisory Training Program opportunities like this are a meaningful investment in the people who build our projects every day. At Camosy Construction, we believe strong field leadership directly impacts the quality, safety, and overall experience our clients receive on every job.
That is why we are excited to launch the AGC Supervisory Training Program (STP) for our field staff, beginning with Unit 1: Leadership and Motivation. This training is construction-specific, practical, and designed to strengthen the leadership skills that matter most in the field.
When clients hire Camosy, they are trusting us to deliver more than a finished building. They are trusting us to provide consistent communication, steady progress, and a jobsite culture that reflects professionalism and accountability. Programs like STP help us strengthen those standards from the inside out.
What Is the AGC Supervisory Training Program?
The AGC Supervisory Training Program, also known as STP, is a construction-specific training curriculum developed, updated, and field-tested by contractors. It is designed to support supervisors, foremen, superintendents, and emerging leaders who want to improve their ability to lead people and manage jobsite responsibilities.
One of the reasons STP is respected across the industry is that it is not a generic classroom program. Every STP course is activity-based and includes discussions, case histories, problems, and exercises that reflect real jobsite situations. Participants draw on their own experience and learn through interaction with others from different roles and areas of the construction industry.
The full STP curriculum includes six units totaling 120 hours of in-class instruction. Each unit is divided into multiple sessions so participants can build skills over time and apply what they learn in real working conditions.

Why Leadership Training Matters in Construction
Construction leadership is different from leadership in many other industries. The work is fast-paced, the stakes are high, and decisions made in the field can impact safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
Strong supervision helps prevent small issues from turning into bigger ones. It also improves communication between the field and project management teams, strengthens coordination with subcontractors, and supports a jobsite culture where people feel accountable and respected.
From a client standpoint, this matters because it leads to more predictable outcomes. When leadership is consistent, planning improves. When communication improves, clients stay informed. When crews are motivated and aligned, the work moves forward with fewer disruptions.
At Camosy, we view STP as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. We want our field teams to have the tools and confidence to lead well, solve problems quickly, and represent our company in a way that reflects the trust clients place in us.
