Kenosha YMCA 2025 Business Partner of the Year is an honor that means a great deal to Camosy Construction.

We are deeply honored to be named the Kenosha YMCA Business Partner of the Year for 2025. For our company and our family, the YMCA is more than an organization. It is a place that has shaped generations. It is a place of leadership, mentorship, wellness, and community.

As the national YMCA campaign says, “There is no place like this place.” For the Camosy family and the entire Camosy team, that statement could not be truer.

A Legacy Rooted in the Kenosha YMCA

Our connection to the YMCA began long before this award.

Ray Camosy, second president of Camosy Construction, was a passionate supporter of the Kenosha YMCA, originally known as the Kenosha Youth Foundation (KYF). He believed deeply in the mission of the Y and the role it plays in strengthening individuals and families.

Ray served on the YMCA board for many years. He worked out at the Y regularly, built relationships within its walls, and supported the organization with both his time and financial contributions year after year.

For him, the YMCA was not simply a facility. It was a cornerstone of the community and a place where values were lived out daily.

That commitment to the Kenosha YMCA continues today. Trisha Camosy, fourth generation of the Camosy family, now serves on the YMCA board, following in her grandfather’s footsteps.

What began as personal involvement has grown into a lasting partnership rooted in shared values and long-term community investment.

Building the Callahan Branch and Aquatic Center

One of the most meaningful chapters in our partnership with the Kenosha YMCA was the construction of the Callahan Branch and Aquatic Center.

This facility represents far more than bricks and mortar. It provides access to wellness programs, youth sports, swim lessons, senior activities, childcare, and community gathering spaces. It is a place where families grow stronger and where children build confidence that lasts a lifetime.

As a construction management partner serving municipal and community-based organizations across Wisconsin and Illinois, we understand the responsibility that comes with building spaces that matter.

The Callahan Branch was built with that responsibility in mind.

Beyond construction, Camosy Construction has continued to support the Kenosha YMCA through ongoing donations, volunteer efforts, and in-kind contributions. Our team believes that partnership does not end when a project is completed. It continues through service and engagement.
