Committed To Quality Work

Camosy Earns Top Safety Recognition Through GCI Captive Insurance Program

Recognized for Safety Excellence in Construction

At Camosy Construction, construction safety is more than a requirement. It is a shared value that shapes the way we work every day. We are proud to share that our team was recently recognized with the Presidents Circle safety award by GCI, our captive insurance group. This honor is given to companies that achieve at least 90% of the total possible safety points across a wide range of categories. Out of a possible 1100 points, we earned 1058.

This recognition reflects our team’s daily commitment to jobsite safety and protecting our people. From senior leadership to field crews, everyone at Camosy plays a part in making sure construction safety remains a core focus on every project. Our consistent performance across projects of all sizes shows that safety is not just something we talk about, it is something we live by every day.

A Perfect Score on Our Risk Control Assessment

We also received a perfect 100% score on our Risk Control Assessment (RCA). The RCA evaluates our entire risk control program, including policies, training, implementation, and performance in the field. A score of 100 means we met every benchmark. There is no higher rating available within this assessment process.

Achieving this result takes more than just checklists. It comes from building a strong construction safety culture, reinforcing expectations, and making sure that safety is more than a set of rules. It is part of how we work, how we train, and how we manage every detail on-site. We continuously review safety procedures, conduct regular audits, and provide team members with the resources they need to maintain safe working conditions throughout each phase of construction.

Among the Top Companies in the Captive

GCI insures a wide range of companies across the country. Only those that earn the Presidents Circle safety award are considered for the top tier. This year, Camosy was ranked in the top 20 of all Presidents Circle recipients. That places us in the top 5% of all insurance captive member companies for safety.

This level of recognition shows that our safety practices are not only effective, they are among the best in our industry. Clients can trust that our commitment to construction safety helps manage risk and supports successful project outcomes. It also strengthens our relationships with trade partners and allows us to consistently deliver on quality, schedule, and budget. Team members know they are supported by a company that prioritizes their well-being every day.

Why Safety Matters

In construction, safety impacts everything, from project schedules and budgets to team morale and lives on the line. At Camosy, we work on essential facilities for communities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin. That includes public safety buildings, schools, and municipal infrastructure that serve thousands of people every day.

Keeping our people safe means we can keep delivering for our clients without compromise. We know that skilled tradespeople and field teams are at the heart of our success, and their safety will always come first. Strong risk control performance also benefits the broader project team by reducing downtime, minimizing disruptions, and building trust with owners and stakeholders.

Because we tell you that we are safe, we like to prove it. We do so by our EMR. Learn more about what an EMR is, means and how it is impacted here.

Celebrating the Team Behind the Award

This safety award is a direct result of the dedication and focus shown by our team. It reflects the hard work of our superintendents, foremen, project managers, field crews, and office staff who all contribute to a strong construction safety culture. It also speaks to the quality of our training and our ability to learn and improve with each project.

We are proud of this achievement, and even more committed to the work ahead. Safety is not a one-time goal. It is something we strive for and improve on every day. This recognition from our captive insurance group, GCI, is a moment worth celebrating, but it is also a reminder that safety excellence is built through consistent effort, strong leadership, and a deep respect for each person who steps onto our jobsites.
