Description
Phase I of this renovation and addition project expanded the existing Devonshire Banquet room to increase seating to 250 persons. The Devonshire Room interiors were completely updated, along with the adjacent Pre-Function space. Taking advantage of the magnificent views to the golf course, the new configuration also provides an intimate patio area for informal gathering. The restroom facilities are also completely renovated with new tile, fixtures and finishes throughout.
The existing Gable Room, a large, vaulted wood beam framed space, was also renovated with a new bar, additional windows overlooking the golf course, and new finishes throughout.
The existing Golf Pro shop was reconfigured and new office spaces for the administrative staff created.
Phase II of Chevy Chase Country Club took place between December 2015 and March 2016. This work renovated the Grand Ballroom, Grand Ballroom Bar, the “Abbey” pre-function space and the associated restrooms and support spaces. The existing original maple floor in the Ballroom was sanded and completely refurnished to its original magnificent appearance.
The existing bar space was also completely renovated with updated finishes and new flooring. Existing restrooms were completely redone with all new finishes and fixtures throughout. The work was completed ahead of schedule and held its first weeding in April to rave reviews.
Each of these projects was completed while maintaining the balance of the facility fully operational.
