Description
Camosy was the Construction Manager for this 5,000 sf free-standing U.S. Customs and Border Patrol facility at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, Illinois. The municipal airport is co-owned by the Village of Wheeling and the City of Prospect Heights. Camosy was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for this project following a Quality Based Selection process in the summer of 2020. The new Customs facility will replace an outdated space currently being leased by one of the Airport’s tenants. The new facility will allow the Airport to comply with current FAA and DHS regulations. Camosy planned, managed, and completed this work under the strict guidelines of the FAA for operational international airports. Camosy provided full-time on-site field supervision and coordinated special inspections with Federal Customs Department and the department of Homeland Security.
