Project Description
The DeLong Middle School project entails renovation of the academic pods and plumbing, HVAC and electrical improvements throughout the entire existing building. The existing 2-story, 236,880 square foot building was built into a hill and provides limited natural light in the classrooms. This project will add windows across the north, east and west facades. The $24,750,000 project includes a 4,110 square foot addition, renovation of 72,350 square feet, and finish upgrades to the cafeteria, music suite, auditorium and IMC Site improvements include reconfiguration of the entrance drive off of Vine Street, creating separate bus and car loading zones, and construction of additional parking on the south end of the building. This project has earned a LEED for Schools certification rating of silver.
