Description
Camosy was the proud Construction Manager for this 45.8-million-dollar project that started construction in March 2009. Camosy has enjoyed a long and successful history with the Kenosha Unified School District that started in the 1950s. Since that time, Camosy has completed multiple projects, both new construction and renovations and additions to existing facilities. The Indian Trail Academy project includes approximately 250,000 SF of new additions and extensive renovations to some 100,000 SF of the existing school. The 250,000 sf of new construction addition includes a new academic wing, a new 1,200-seat performing arts theater, a new fieldhouse, new student commons, and serving. The 100,000 sf of renovation work to the existing building includes most of the administrative spaces and classrooms.
All work was executed while keeping the school fully operational both during summer school and during the regular school year. Indian Trail will be Kenosha’s third comprehensive high school. Our construction phase services included full-time supervision of all trades and self-performance of the masonry, concrete, carpentry, and selective demolition trades. The entire project was completed on time and under budget; and as usual on all Camosy Construction Management Projects, 100% of all savings were returned to the Owner.
