Description

Camosy has enjoyed a long relationship with the Lake Villa Township Fire Protection District providing both General Contracting and Construction Management services over many years. Since 2007, the district has selected Camosy as their Construction Manager at Risk for all of their projects including two new Satellite Fire Stations and a series of renovation and site improvement projects throughout the District. This project included extensive renovation to Station #2 and included a complete rework of the Kitchen, Dayroom, Sleeping Quarters, Locker Area, conversion to private toilet rooms, new windows and exterior maintenance and improvements to the HVAC system. This project finished and complemented a renovation of the Training Room and Administrative Office spaces completed two years earlier.

Services Provided

Camosy Construction Management services included all phases of work from Preconstruction through end of warranty and beyond and include: value engineering, detailed estimating, constructability reviews, computer-based collision detection analysis, quality control, scheduling, site logistics, preparation of all bid packages, management of the bidding process, and contracting with all subtrades. During the Construction Phase Camosy provided complete management including full-time on-site field supervision and overall Project Management. Camosy competitively bid portions of the various work packages and was the successful bidder for the concrete and carpentry work.
