PROJECT SPECS
Description
Following a competitive Quality Based Selection process, Camosy was chosen as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Northwest Water Commission facility addition and renovation project. Located at 1525 N. Wolf Road in Des Plaines Illinois, this facility is the water distribution and pumping station for Wheeling, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights and Des Plaines.
This project renovated the existing office areas, locker rooms and toilet rooms and added new Board Room, Conference Room and Office space as well as a new six space Vehicle Storage area. The work includes a complete new HVAC system along with significant improvements to the plumbing, electrical, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. The construction was carried out while maintaining operations by creating temporary office space within a portion of the existing building not affected by the work.
Camosy provided complete Construction Management services which started with the Preconstruction Phase in October of 2018.
Camosy worked closely with the owner and architect to plan the schedule and phasing of the work in order to minimize interruptions of normal daily operations. The Water Commission Board held their first meeting in their new space in October 2019.
