Description

The Village of Palatine Village Hall operates out of a building originally constructed in the 1950’s as a High School and converted to use as the Village Hall. The facility is shared between the Palatine Park District and the Village with Village operations having approximately 52,000 SF of the total building area. The Village of Palatine selected Camosy as their CM for the Village Hall renovation project after Camosy’s success as Construction Manager for the Palatine Police Station project. The project includes the selective demolition of the Village Hall portion of the building interior including the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, leaving only the structural frame. Some older portions of the structure were removed completely with a few additions creating new entry points and other functional areas. The space was completely renovated with new energy efficient mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems and the entire exterior of the building is “re-skinned” with new brick, windows, and metal clad panels to give the building a new modern look. A complete reconfiguration of the floor plan of all the Village offices improves efficiencies and creates a more user-friendly space for the public.
